At the present moment, when nationalist tensions are repeating by the same model like it was before the 92' war, I think that with Peace march we can point out to the fact of what damage would new conflict in Bosnia bring to us and to ask ourselves do we really want that huge number of our beloved ones die and resettle again?

Sopot

Like a country which is still fighting with post-conflict traumas, thought of peace and its well beings has to be primary and constant to the leader and to the habitants of the country as well. Band Sopot completely supports idea and the mission of the action “Peace March). As musicians and as humans, we are fully dedicated to spreading of the peace messages on the Balkans and that can be heard in our songs: DuBalkan, Nada, Peaceful, Bombs on civilians. Besides that, Sopot is one of the initiators of the initiative:”100 years of peace on Balkans. (http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/100-godina-mira-na-balkanu.html).

Enis Bešlagić

I imagine grain fields without tars, sunny day without clouds, river without waste, air without co2. I imagine children without tears and world without wars. Those are my dreams, which are seaming real while I'm walking in the line of the World March for Peace and nonviolence.

ALTTEATAR

Street performance “UNITED” is a scream which has a goal to assemble, in its echo, one line of people, young and old, men and women, all nationalities, religions, hight and weight, all skin and hair colours, people with all titles and knowledge, form all regions of BiH, cities and villages, people who had enough that someone is placing them in the same frame with other creatures with whom they do not have anything in common except their name or last name etymology. We want to group ourselves by our own affinities, music we like or dislike, we want to differ by books we read and movies we watch. We wan to do jobs we like and to be selected for those jobs because of our competence and not because of our nationality. We want to look forward, not the future which promises better life, if not for us, then for our children. We want to accomplish the world in which are ruling humanist and not nationalist values. We want the world without wars.

Ferida Duraković

We know very well that peace marches can not make big changes – but even the smallest step towards peace, the one which is going to save even one innocent child life somewhere in the world, the one which is going to shorten some of the wars in the world at least for one minute, hour or day- is success of the World March for Peace and Non-violence. I join to this march with bitter memories on children and all innocent people who died during the war in BiH, and with big hope for that our children all over the world are waiting some better times.

Jovan Divjak

In natural and non-natural cataclysms of all kinds, biggest victims are children. In war of the 20th and beginning of 21st century in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rwanda, Sudan, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan - the biggest number is number of children graves. Every peace movement, like this march, is just small attempt and contribution of benevolent people, to the world that looks more peaceful and beautiful. So let's this years world march encourage international community and local leaders to replace their weapons with olive brach

owpsee

Owpsee as multimedia internet portal for non-governmental organisations in the region of South east Europe, was always opening its virtual space to those initiatives which have for their goal development and promotion of peace and non-violence policy in the region and in the world. So it was the same this time, by involving ourselves directly in the organization of the world march, giving all our resources, both human and technological ones, to help and support the organization of this initiative, which we support in total.

FOR WORLD WITHOUT WARS – owpsee team.

Nela Đenisijević

I'm very glad that at the start, in the very tittle of the project, one very militant phrase like march is absolutely nullified in the continuation – for peace and non-violence. The same way like we can damage the bad thing around us, only by being active. Activation and only activation, especially if we are going to be part of the world through her, even just for a moment, to be part of on broader picture, being in company with some happier and smarter people.

Mario Drmać
