A first but not last historical event of Esmirna where over 2000 strong, marched 2 kilometers with participants from over 30 organizations; including Human Rights, Greens, Communists, and Kurdish groups. The march concluded in speeches by members of the World March team and human rights representatives in Turkey.

Nermin Čengić - The World March for Peace and Nonviolence is international activity that aims to make it clear to all living beings that the world is for love, companionship, mutual understanding and assistance, while those who threaten such fundamental opinion should understand that there are people, a great majority of people, that renounce wars, violence, death and all they carry with them.
